Have you ever been interested in criterium-style racing but need a few pointers? Are you a strong athlete but new to the sport of road cycling and want to learn more about racing? Are you a junior who loves to ride your bike and has a competitive spirit? Are you an avid cyclist who loves to ride fast but has never raced?
If you answered YES to any of the questions above, our Intro to Racing Skills Clinic is just for YOU! Please join us for this fun and fast clinic to help you prepare for your first criterium-style race.
Beginners who complete the clinic and have previously raced less than two times in a criterium will receive a free entry to the Indy Crit on July 13, 2024! This has been made possible through a USA Cycling grant.

Race tactics
Bunch racing etiquette
What to wear for your first race
Nutrition and hydration tips for race day
Rules of racing

Clinic Times
We are offering three sessions:
6:00 - 6:45 PM: Beginner Juniors (Age 9-18 having raced less than 5 times)
7:00 - 8:30 PM: Women (adults and experienced juniors)
7:00 - 8:30 PM: Men (adults and experienced juniors)
Arrival & Check-In
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the clinic to allow for check-in, instructions, introductions, and bike checks. Check-in will be located at the main entrance of the Major Taylor Velodrome.
What to Bring
Bike
Helmet
Sunglasses
Jersey/tee and shorts - riders generally wear padded bike shorts, but that is not a requirement.
Water & bottle
Any snacks or in-the-bottle nutrition you feel you will need during the clinic.
Socks
Shoes
Extra tube

Parking is available in the surface lot at the Indy Cycloplex......or just ride your bike!
