EVENT INFO FOR 2022 COLLEGIATE track NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AT MTV
Waivers - all participants and support staff must complete a 2022 ICX waiver here. This is separate from the USAC event waiver through BikeReg.
Schedule - see the USAC event website for the most recent schedule. MTV will have no regular riding/programming those days (7-10 September).
INFIELD ACCESS:
No persons will be able to access the Velodrome infield without a credential, which will be issued at registration. Only registered athletes, and qualified team staff (coaches, mechanics, soigneurs) will be accredited to access the infield. Infield passes are $20 each (payable with cash, check, or credit card) and are non-transferable between individuals. All credentialed individuals must complete the facility waiver at www.indycycloplex.com/waiver.
Photographers requesting infield access should contact indycycloplex@marian.edu to be granted a credential. Photographers must have a completed waiver on file.
COVID - final event protocols are not yet finalized, but stay tuned to the event webpage for info. It will mostly likely be the requirement that everyone show either proof of vaccination or a negative test.
PARKING / ADMISSIONS
Parking and admission are free for spectators for all sessions.
Overnight RV parking is not allowed at the Indy Cycloplex. The nearest location with RV parking is the Indiana State Fairgrounds at 38th and Fall Creek - click here for more information.
INFIELD / TENTS:
Teams will be allowed up to four (4) tents (max size per tent 10’ x 10’) in the Velodrome infield, with space priority given to teams with the largest roster sizes. ALL TENTS MUSTBE PROPERLY WEIGHTED AT ALL TIMES, minimum 10-15lbs per tent leg required. Some spaces will allow for anchoring into grass, but no anchors may be driven into the asphalt. Any tents not properly secured will be taken down by event staff. Tent placement can begin on Wednesday during pre-ride.
A limited number of bucket weights (5gal buckets filled with approx 30 pounds sand) are available for rental for the event - $10 each. Contact indycycloplex@marian.edu to arrange renting weights.
Leaving equipment in infield between race sessions- can be done AT YOUR OWN RISK. While we will have law enforcement personnel onsite, security (especially overnight) is not guaranteed. Valuables should not be left in the infield. We are unable to provide secure on-site storage.
The TruTrainer Neutral Warm-Up Tent will be stocked with TruTrainer Premium Bicycle Rollers all week long and are for anyone to use - this area is NOT to be used for riders/teams to set up their own areas in.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Results, photos, and videos from the week-long events will be posted on various social media channels. Concessions: The Velodrome concession stand will be open during evening sessions for the event featuring typical concessions fare and bottled beverages. Beer from Sun King Brewing will also be available each evening for adults.
Open Riding: The track is closed to open riding and will be used solely for competition purposes and for warm-up riding time for riders registered in the national championships. Riders not competing in the event may not ride during warm-up times.
