- Training and open track sessions are always subject to cancellation due to weather. Check IndyCycloplex on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.
- On a race night, if weather requires a cancellation by 5 pm, riders will be given a choice of a refund or a credit toward the next race in the Throw Down Thursday or Fast Friday Series, depending on the type of race that has been paid. Bike rentals may also be carried over to the next race.
- If weather requires a cancellation where the schedule is not completed, a credit for racers will be announced via the PA system. Generally, if the schedule is 50% or more complete, it is considered complete if weather conditions require a halt to racing.
- HEAT: The facilities at the Indy Cycloplex/Major Taylor Velodrome will not close due to high temperatures unless the City of Indianapolis issues a “Excessive Heat Warning.” If the City issues such a warning, the Indy Cycloplex may cancel programming or close facilities as appropriate. During times of high temperatures, the Indy Cycloplex will take all necessary steps to ensure that participants in scheduled activities take appropriate precautions to address the weather conditions, including but not limited to proper hydration, frequent breaks in activities, etc.
