SPECTATOR INFO: 

Schedule: Racing begins on Thursday September 14, and continues through Saturday, with Sunday scheduled as an available rain day . Each day has morning and evening sessions.

Parking / access: Parking and admission are free for spectators for all sessions. Guests wanting to access the infield (coaches, mechanics, etc) will need to purchase an infield pass (registered riders will use their bib number to access the infield.) 

Social Media: Results, photos, and videos from the week-long events will be posted on various social media channels. Follow the Cycloplex on Twitter @indycycloplex, and on Facebook at Indy Cycloplex, home of the Major Taylor Velodrome. Follow USA Cycling on Twitter @usacycling, on Facebook at USA Cycling, and on Instagram @usacycling. The event hashtag is #tracknats.

Concessions: The Velodrome concession stand will be open during all sessions for the event. Food will be for sale (breakfast, lunch, dinner style food options) and bottled water, Gatorade, and soda, as well as beer from Sun King Brewing.

Open Riding: The track is closed to open riding following the open track session on Wednesday, September 13 and will be used solely for competition purposes and for warm-up riding time for riders registered in the national championships. Riders not competing in the event may not ride during open track warm-up times.

    • The TruTrainer Neutral Warm-Up Tent will be stocked with TruTrainer Premium Bicycle Rollers all week long and are for anyone to use - this area is NOT to be used for riders/teams to set up their own areas in. 

Parking: Parking is free for spectators and athletes with plenty of spots around the facility.

Infield Access: Competing riders will use their bib number to access the infield, and any other persons wishing to access the infield will need to purchase a pass for $20, which is good for the entire week. Passes can be bought in the office at any open time.

 

Bike shipment info: Contact Program Manager Matt Gittings, mgittings@marian.edu with questions about bike shipments.

The velodrome cannot receive bike shipments. Bikes can be shipped to the Marian University mailroom at 3200 Cold Spring Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Please give a buffer of 1-2 business days to ensure bikes arrive and can be retrieved from the mailroom during normal business hours well in advance of racing. Riders MUST notify the velodrome staff (Program Manager Matt Gittings, mgittings@marian.edu) if they are shipping a bike to coordinate retrieving it. 


HOTELS / LODGING: More information coming soon, but here are some options if you wish to book soon:

>> Sleep Inn & Suites/Downtown Conference Center - very close to the Velodrome

>> Several hotel options at the I-465 and 71st Street area (465 northbound exit 21) - Hampton Inn, Residence Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Candlewood Suites, Wingate by Wyndham, Courtyard Inn, Towneplace Suites, and more. This area is about 8-10 minutes from the Velodrome.

FYI, Overnight RV parking is not allowed at the Indy Cycloplex. The nearest location with RV parking is the Indiana State Fairgrounds at 38th and Fall Creek - click here for more information.
